A graduate of Brooklyn Technical High School, Attorney Michael J. Croce was an accomplished student athlete, having competed at the highest levels, both academically and in sports: football and track and field. He felt the calling of a legal career at an early age, and after completing his Bachelors degree in Psychology he applied for and was accepted to Brooklyn Law School. While attending law school, Mr. Croce was hired by the Bronx District Attorney’s office, as a first year law student, for a position in the Felony Trial Bureau as a Student Legal Assistant. Mr. Croce learned the craft of criminal litigation, working along with seasoned prosecutors in the preparation and presentation of their felony trials.
Having worked as a Student Legal Assistant for the Bronx District Attorney’s Office while in law school, it seemed a natural start to stay on, as an Assistant District Attorney upon graduation from law school. As a prosecutor in the Bronx District Attorney’s office, Mr. Croce prosecuted offenses ranging from low level misdemeanors to the most serious, violent felonies.
As one might expect, working in the high volume District Attorney’s office, he learned the inner workings of the criminal justice system and honed his trial skills during that time. As a prosecutor, he made many connections in the legal community, where he is known and respected to this day.
